Effects of Monroe Sound Science Focus 21 On Mediumship State Induction, Communication Veracity, And Autonomic Coupling With Sitter

Overview

This is a two-part pilot study examining whether Monroe Sound Science (MSS) Focus 21 audio (a) produces physiological changes in mediums and (b) influences mediumship outcomes. Part 1 looks for physiological validation, establishing whether MSS Focus 21 produces measurable changes to a medium’s brain activity (EEG) and Heart Rate Variability (HRV) a measure of autonomic nervous system state) relative to a matched control audio.

Part 2 assesses outcomes on mediumship sessions, testing whether pre-session Focus 21 exposure improves (a) the veracity of mediumship communications as scored by sitters, (b) medium–sitter HRV synchrony, and (c) subjective connectedness reported by both parties. Both parts employ double-blind procedures. Mediums are naive to condition allocation, and sitters to the medium’s audio condition throughout. Blinding is verified post-session via forced-choice guesses with confidence ratings.
